The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

A YEAR-OLD WEST INDIAN GIRL, Jennifer Coke, died at one o’clock yesterday afternoon in a fire which completely burnt out a room in a top floor flat at 265 Newfoundland Road, St. Paul’s Bristol.
Twins Patrick and Sandra Coke, were rescued from a rear room on the top floor by Fireman Norman Britton, who arrived on the scene a few minutes later and effected the rescie using a radio firm’s ladder.
