The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

After 44 years the Avon Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters building at Temple Back, Bristol closed it doors for the last time leaving behind a multitude of memories. the following Monday, 18th September, the move to the new Police & Fire Headquarters at Portishead was complete and a new chapter in the Avon Fire & Rescue Service history was started.
