The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

John Crawley, aged 66 years passed away on 27th April 2020.
John served as a Retained Firefighter at station 02 Thornbury from 1986 until 1996, during the day he served as a Paramedic with professions skills he was able to use in bot of his public service roles.
