Ivor Player passed away of the 20th June 2023 aged 91 years. Ivor joined The Bristol Fire Brigade in 1956.
He completed 30 years service and retired in 1986, working at various stations around Bristol, finishing at Temple Back on Red Watch where he held the rank of Station officer.
Ivor was married to Barbara for sixty eight and a half years until she sadly passed away in 2020.
They had 7 grandchildren, two step grand children and lots of great grandchildren, a close loving family.
Ivor and Barbara loved to travel and enjoyed lots of holidays abroad, including Australia twice.
Ivor’s health deteriorated in 2021 and sadly he died at home on 20th June 2023.
His funeral was on 25th July where everyone said what a lovely man he was. A true Gentleman.
