AF&RS pensioner Brian Charles Pocock passed away on the 04 July 2023 aged 87.
Brian started his Fire Service career in 1961 at Speedwell Training School at Speedwell then was stationed at Bridewell and then Temple Fire Stations. Brian was the Station’s turn table ladder operator and driver following a promotion to Sub-Officer Brian became the Brigade Photographer. He was an active member of the social side of the Service and was part of the Blue Flames band, playing trombone and played in the Service’s football Wednesday league.
Brian retired in 1991 and lived in Alicante in Spain with his wife Janet. His son Neale and daughter-in-law Debby also live in Spain.
Brian’s funeral has already taken place in Spain.
