The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

Sadly, we have been informed that our colleague John Thompson sadly passed away on 30th March 2024. He was a serving member of the Avon Fire & Rescue Service. John worked for AF&RS for over 40 years he stared his career as a firefighter and had been working within the Vulnerable Adults Team.
