It is with much sadness we have received notification of the death of AF&RS Pensioner Brian Lugg, who passed away on the 2nd November 2024 at home with his wife Marina and 4 children by his side. He was 87 years old.
Brian’s funeral is at St John’s Church, Old Sodbury on the 4th December at 11.30 hours, followed by a burial at Mayshill Cemetery, and the Wake will be held at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club, for those who would like to attend.
Brian was a Firefighter at Chipping Sodbury Fire Station in the 1960’s before moving to the newly opened Fire Station at Yate where he served as On Call throughout the 1970’s. He then became a Firefighter at BAC at Filton Airfield until he retired having reached the Rank of Chief.
Brian is survived by his wife, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
