Alan Perry aged 74 years passed away on 4th December 2024.
Alan Perry joined the Bristol Fire Brigade as the last Junior Fireman aged 16 years, he served at Bridwell Fire Station and was awarded the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as a Junior Fireman, when the new Headquarters and Fire Station at Temple Back opened in 1973 he transferred there remaining on Blue Watch where he stayed until his ill-health discharge in August 1988 following an accident at the Fowlers Motor Cycle Fire near Temple Meads Railway Station.
Following his retirement he took on several jobs starting as a Community Bus Driver for North Somerset District Council and finally as a Caretaker at Northleaze School. His main hobby was Golf. He leaves a Widow Delia.
Alan’s Funeral was held on 24th December 2024.
