Paul Ireland, affectionately known as College, aged 81 years passed away on Thursday 6th February 2025,
Paul joined the Fire Brigade in 1975 in Ripon North Yorkshire after leaving the Army where he had served in the REME in Aden, Sharjah, Germany and Northern Ireland. He joined the County of Avon Fire Brigade at Weston super Mare Fire Station on Green Watch in 1978 and retired in 1995.
After retirement he renovated a Victorian house into 2 flats for which he received an award from the Civic Society. He and his wife loved to travel especially cruising and going to Spain and Australia where one of their daughters lives. Paul was married to Jean for almost 59 years and had 2 daughters 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
The Funeral will be on Friday 21st February at 11.30am at Weston Crematorium, Ebdon Road, Worle, Weston-Super-Mare BS22 9NY
