It is with much sadness we have received notification of the death of AF&RS pensioner Steve Way, who passed away on Saturday 01 March 2025, aged 76.
Steve spent his entire 40 years’ service at Bedminster Fire Station on Red Watch, joining Bristol Fire Brigade at the age of 16 for the first two years as a junior firefighter, and retiring in 2004. His main interest was his family (wife Nicola and daughter Georgina), but he also liked cars, the countryside, agriculture, walking, reading and gardening.
The Funeral is on Friday 11th April at 1.30pm at South Bristol Crematorium, followed by a wake in Portishead. The dress code is black .
