Ian Jefferies aged 77yrs, passed away on 8th August 2025 following a short illness.
Ian joined the Bristol Fire Brigade at the age of 16 years as a Junior Fireman in 1964 and transferred to the County of Avon Fire Brigade in 1974 serving at Bridwell, Speedwell and Bedminster Fire Stations also the Brigade Training School, finishing his service as and Assistant Divisional Officers at HQ as the Brigade Press Officer. He was one of the instigators of the Brigade Carol Float in the early 70’s raising money for the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund. A well respected member of the Fire Service.
There will not be a funeral but the family will be having a wake to celebrate his life on Wednesday 20th August 7-10pm at Warmley community centre.
