Position: Fireman
John joined the Bristol Fire Brigade serving at Bridewell station, where he was popular amongst his workmates. He enjoyed sport and for several years was Goalkeeper for the Brigade football team. Unfortunately, he had to retire from the Brigade on 1st December 1972 on medical grounds following a Road Traffic Accident whilst off duty.
