The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

Aubrey joined the National Fire Service (NFS) as a messenger boy in 1944 and Clevedon Fire Brigade, continued as a retained member under Somerset Fire Brigade. He retired in 1984 from the Avon Fire Brigade as a Station Officer of Clevedon Fire Station with 40 years service.
