Peter Spindler, passed away on Wednesday 18th January 2017, following his long illness, aged 79 years.
At 15 years of age, Pete joined the Navy and served on many ships and submarines mainly as an Asdic and Radio operator. After leaving the Navy Pete joined Somerset Fire Brigade as a Retained Fireman in his home town of Weston-super-Mare, 
where he later became a Wholetime member of the Service, before retiring as a Leading Fireman in 1992.
