The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

Robert (Bob) Taylor, aged 91 years, passed away on Wednesday 8th January 2020, after a long illness.
He served with the County of Avon Fire Brigade and retired in the rank of Station Officer in June 1979, his wife Iris, who preceded him, she also worked in the County of Avon Fire Brigade as a Fire Control Operator.
