The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

Pete joined the Retained Service in the 1960’s at Frome,Somerset. In 1970 he had the opportunity to join the Wholetime service and went to Reigate for training. During his service with Somerset/Avon Fire Brigade he served at Weston, Bedminster, Bath, Training School, finishing up at Weston Fire Station.
