Mike Clifford

Mike Clifford passed away on the 18th April 2016, his funeral was held on Monday 16th May at South Bristol Crematorium. He leave a Widow Sandra.

Mike joined the Retained service, serving at Pill Fire Station, in Somerset, before transferring to Wholetime duties with the County of Avon Fire Brigade in 1974. He served on Red Watch at A3 Avonmouth from 1974 until 1978 where he qualified as a driver, and as a Coxswain on the Fire Boat. In 1978 he transferred to C5 Bedminster serving on Red and Green Watch. During his service he drove Pump’s, Pump Escape’s Turn Table Ladders and Hydraulic Platforms. He also played volley ball and was a member of the Brigade darts team. Mike was medically discharged in  November 1992.
