The Pensioners Association has a well established and dedicated team of Volunteers who serve with the Avon Welfare Support Group, regularly visiting colleagues at home or during their time in Hospital.

Roger Stanley passed away on the 24th May 2016, aged 72 years following a short illness. Roger served at Brislington Fire Station until he retired from the County of Avon Fire Brigade in 1978.
His funeral was held at South Bristol Crematorium on Thursday 9th June followed by a reception at the Royal British Legion at Whitchurch Bristol.
