William ‘Taffy’ Hackfoort 1921-2016 (click for full story)
Noel “Taffy” Hackfoort passed away Monday 12th September 2016.
Noel Hackfoort was aged fifteen when he joined the Merchant Navy and later spent six years with the Royal Air Force, before transferring to Blechley Park. Noel was a Sub. Officer at Weston Fire Station when he retired in 1973, after 27 years’ service. Three years later, he was re-employed by the Fire Service as a civilian mechanic and working at the Brigade Workshops in Weston, from where he retired for a second time in 1984, after a further eight years’ service.
The funeral will take place at 13:45 on Tuesday 27th September at Sedgemoor Crematorium, Pawlett, Bridgwater.
