CLARK JOHN. Passed away on the 3rd of July 2019 aged 80 years.
When anyone joins the Fire Service it becomes a major part of their life as well as their family. John joined as a Fireman and retired as Sub Officer, serving at Clevedon Fire Station. He became involved in every aspect of the Service from participating in any event to raise money for the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund. to organising the fire competitions held annually at Topsham at which Clevedon invariably won. One of the tributes about John was from a fireman who served with him he said ‘John was a gentle giant with a huge smile and whenever he was in charge of a shout we always knew he would get us all home safely’. John was presented with a European fire award Leicester .
Loving husband, dad and grandad to five loving grandchildren. Greatly missed by all family and friends.
