Tim Franklin – 07.04.2021

It is with very much sadness that we inform you of the passing of Tim Franklin on 7th April 2021, Tim was 64 years of age, and passed away in Southmead Hospital after a short illness.

Tim joined the County of Avon Fire Brigade in 1974 being posted to A1 Temple serving on Red Watch for about 10 years then transferred to White Watch until his retirement in 2006. Tim was a gentleman and professional in every sense of the word, a well liked and integral team member. A few years after he retired he worked as a Div Run driver from the stores a Nova Way.

Tim’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 12th May at Waterside Chapel Westerleigh Crematorium 11:45am. Sadly the Government restrictions apply but, many of white watch are going to line the pavement outside the Huntsman Public House, Westerleigh Road Downend BS16 6UB about 11:10am  to show their respects as the hearse will take this route (Hearse is leaving the house 11:15am, which is just round  the corner) so to avoid the risk of a fine. All welcome to join outside the Huntsman.

He leaves a wife Christine.
