It is with much sadness we have received notification of the death of Fred Linehan retired Station Officer from A6 Thornbury who passed away on the 23rd January at Southmead hospital following a long illness.
Fred joined the Service in 1965 under Gloucestershire Fire Brigade and retired from the County of Avon Fire Brigade in March 1991.
During his service, Fred attended an event in the garden of Buckingham Palace in recognition of his service.
His funeral is at 11:45hrs on Wednesday 16th February at Westerleigh Crematorium. All welcome.
Our thoughts are with his wife Val, daughter Donna, son Mark and family at this sad time.
