John Lintern – 23.10.2022

John Lintern aged 80 years passed away on 23rd October 2022.

John was a member of the AFS prior to joining The Gloucestershire fire Service at Patchway in 1967. He also served at Kingswood and Speedwell. He was one of life’s lovable characters. With sound mechanical and phenomenal knowledge of gearboxes and was only willing to help others. His great passion was for sailing and on retirement was to move to Poole in Dorset where he owned a small yacht an ingratiated himself with local marine fraternity. Sadly, he never fully recovered from a stroke some years ago and passed away suddenly at home at the age of 80.
